The Good Samaritan Super Thrift accepts donations of good usable items (i.e. furniture, clothing, appliances, and household goods). In addition to supplying for physical needs in the community, the Good Samaritan provides an environment in which Mission residents complete a 30-day vocational training program. This program provides trainees with skills that are transferable to their future workplace.
The GSST was founded in 1998 to provide residents of the Alamance Rescue Mission with a controlled drug-free environment to learn good work habits and submission to employer authority. By providing an opportunity to rotate jobs, they are able to learn where their work interests and talents lie.
All donations are tax-deductible.
